Last month, I drove up to Lebanon, Tennessee to visit my dear friend, Mallorie, and meet her brand new baby boy, Carson. Mallorie and I have been friends since college, so we've in a a sense "grown up" together. When I found out Mallorie and her husband, Steven, were expecting, I was so excited and happy for them. I know how much they prayed for this little guy, and I knew they were both going to be amazing parents.
This was my first time visiting Mallorie since they moved there (between work, pregnancies, and babies it's hard to travel!). They live on a gorgeous piece of land (once owned by Charlie Daniels - how cool is that?!?) so when we talked about me going up there to visit and take some pictures, I knew we needed to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and do some golden-light, outdoor pictures. I really had no idea how pretty it was going to be but as soon as I drove up and saw the rustic barn and gorgeous green field, I couldn't wait to get out there! Mallorie and Carson braved the humidity and heat for these pictures, and I'm so glad they did! I loved the way the pictures turned out even though the sun really didn't want to peak out much. And we finished up just in time for the rain to start. Of course, I had to do some indoor pictures as well in his adorable Peter Rabbit themed nursery :)
Congratulations again Steven and Mal. Carson is absolutely perfect!
